Position Overview
As a Cardiologist at Clarksburg VA, you will provide comprehensive, patient-centered care across both inpatient and outpatient settings, supported by a collaborative and highly skilled team.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- General cardiology clinical care: inpatient consults, outpatient consults, and clinic
- Perform and interpret:
- Echocardiography
- Exercise & pharmacologic stress testing
- Holter monitoring & ECGs
- Diagnose and manage arrhythmias and complex cardiac conditions
- Participate in patient evaluation, treatment planning, and documentation in the electronic health record
- Engage in peer review, committees, and continuous quality improvement
- Maintain excellence in clinical care, leadership, and communication
Preferred Experience:
- Board Certified
- VA experience is a plus
- Advanced cardiac imaging and TEE/TTE expertise highly desired
Core Clinical Privileges Include:
- Comprehensive cardiac evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment
- ECG and ambulatory monitor interpretation
- Cardioversion, stress echocardiography
- Hemodynamic monitoring and catheter management
- Temporary pacemaker placement
- Central line and arterial access procedures
- ICU-level cardiac care management

Work Schedule & Requirements
