
Global Product Manager, Aerobic & Anaerobic Wastewater Treatment Systems

Product Strategy and Planning
Develop and implement product strategies and roadmaps for ADI systems, including anaerobic reactors, aerobic polishing systems, and integrated treatment trains (pretreatment → AD → polishing)
Segment markets by industry (e.g., food & beverage, ethanol, pulp & paper, chemicals) and application (e.g., high COD reduction, energy recovery, sludge reduction)
Conduct market research and analyze industry trends, including regulatory drivers such as discharge limits and carbon incentives
Identify new product and application opportunities, including co‑digestion, waste‑to‑energy integration, and digital optimization
Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure alignment with company goals and long‑term growth strategies
Develop value propositions tied to OPEX reduction (energy, sludge handling) and sustainability outcomes (carbon footprint reduction, renewable energy generation)
Product Development and Launch
Oversee product development process from concept to launch, including stage‑gate / NPD processes
Define product features, requirements, and technical specifications in collaboration with engineering and R&D
Prioritize development pipeline, including innovations such as higher‑rate anaerobic systems and digital process optimization tools
Coordinate with engineering, design, and marketing teams to ensure timely delivery of new and enhanced solutions
Support product testing, validation, and continuous improvement through performance feedback
Product Positioning and Messaging
Define target markets and develop buyer personas across industrial segments and applications
Develop differentiated product positioning and messaging against competitors (e.g., Veolia, Ovivo, Paques)
Create marketing materials and sales tools, including battlecards, ROI calculators, and case studies
Train and enable sales teams on product features, benefits, and value propositions
Support pricing strategies, margin targets, and overall commercial positioning
Product Performance Analysis
Monitor product performance and track key metrics, including revenue growth, margin performance, and market penetration
Own revenue growth targets for the ADI portfolio and support forecasting activities
Identify areas for improvement and make data‑driven recommendations
Conduct competitive analysis and benchmarking across ADI and industrial wastewater markets
Prepare reports and presentations for senior management
Customer Feedback and Support
Gather and analyze Voice of Customer (VoC) from industrial clients, consulting engineers, and channel partners
Collaborate with engineering and application teams to translate customer insights into product enhancements and new development opportunities
Provide high‑level technical support for strategic bids and complex applications
Work with customer support and field teams to address product issues and improve customer satisfaction
Develop and implement structured customer feedback programs
Cross Functional Collaboration
Work closely with cross‑functional teams to ensure successful product launches, updates, and lifecycle management
Partner with regional sales teams to prioritize pipeline opportunities and shape deal strategy and win themes
Collaborate with application engineering to define system design boundaries and performance expectations
Drive cost reduction, standardization, and modularization initiatives across the product portfolio
Communicate product updates and changes to all relevant stakeholders
Product Lifecycle Management
Manage product lifecycle from concept → launch → growth → optimization
Identify underperforming offerings and recommend sunset, repositioning, or investment strategies
Drive continuous improvement initiatives across product performance, cost structure, and scalability

Qualifications
Bachelor’s in Business, Engineering, Environmental Science, or related field with at least 5 years of experience or equivalent work experience
Experience in industrial water, wastewater treatment, anaerobic digestion, or related process technologies strongly preferred
Strong technical and commercial acumen, with ability to bridge engineering and market needs
Proficiency in product management tools and software (e.g., JIRA, Aha!)
Knowledge of market research, competitive analysis, and regulatory drivers in industrial markets
Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously
Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively convey complex technical and commercial information
The estimated salary range for this position is $130,000-$150,000 USD/CAD plus bonus. Starting pay is dependent on multiple factors, such as skills, experience, and work location, and is not typically at the top of the range.
