The Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of a LYFE Kitchen location, ensuring exceptional food quality, uncompromising hospitality, and operational excellence. This role leads and develops a team of approximately 10–15 hourly team members while upholding LYFE Kitchen’s mission of serving clean, craveable food made with thoughtfully sourced ingredients. The Operations Manager partners closely with culinary, supply chain, and support teams to deliver a seamless guest experience and strong financial performance. This role will be reporting into the General Manager.
Compensation: $65,000 to $75,000/Annually

What You’ll Do
Operational Leadership
Oversee all aspects of restaurant operations, including made‑to‑order hot and cold menu items, beverages, grab‑and‑go offerings, and limited retail products.
Ensure consistent execution of LYFE Kitchen recipes, portioning, plating, and presentation standards.
Forecast and plan daily food production to minimize waste and maximize freshness.
Team Leadership & Development
Hire, train, schedule, coach, and retain approximately 10–15 hourly team members.
Foster a positive, inclusive, and high‑performance culture aligned with LYFE Kitchen values.
Ensure team members are properly trained on new menu items, health standards, and service expectations.
Guest Experience
Deliver a best‑in‑class guest experience through genuine hospitality, speed of service, and food quality.
Address guest feedback and resolve concerns promptly and professionally.
Lead by example during peak periods by supporting stations as needed.
Food Safety, Quality & Cleanliness
Uphold all food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety standards (local, state, and federal).
Ensure a clean, organized, and welcoming environment for guests and team members.
Maintain compliance with health department requirements and internal audits.
Inventory, Ordering & Vendor Management
Manage food and beverage ordering, receiving, and inventory control.
Build and maintain strong vendor and supplier relationships.
Conduct regular inventory counts and manage cost controls.
Financial & Business Acumen
Demonstrate financial awareness by managing labor, food costs, and controllables.
Review sales trends and operational metrics to identify opportunities for improvement.
Support location‑level initiatives and company‑wide rollouts.
Collaboration & Communication
Partner with Culinary/R&D and Supply Chain teams to test and roll out new menu items.
Communicate clearly with internal stakeholders to ensure operational alignment.
Perform additional duties as needed to support business needs.
What You’ll Need
Passion for LYFE Kitchen’s mission, values, and focus on clean, thoughtfully sourced food
Minimum of 2 years of restaurant or kitchen management experience, preferably in fast‑casual or health‑focused dining
Culinary education or strong hands‑on food preparation experience preferred
Proven experience leading and developing teams
Strong knowledge of food safety, quality standards, and recipe execution
Demonstrated financial acumen and understanding of cost controls
Excellent guest service and interpersonal skills
Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, high‑energy environment
Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to read, write, and speak English
Availability to work an average of 50 hours/week, including weekends as needed
Minimum age requirement of 21 years
Preferred certifications: ServSafe, local/state food safety certifications
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word)
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform standing/walking for extended periods
