Founding Solutions Engineer (San Francisco)

We are hiring a

Founding Solutions Engineer (3–8 years experience) . This is a high-ownership role at a

$50M Series A company backed by Sequoia, Emergence, Stripe, and Conviction , where you will work directly with founders and engineers to build and scale the customer-facing technical function.
You will own the full technical customer lifecycle—from pre-sales demos to post-sale adoption—while working with some of the world’s leading asset managers on real investor data.

What You’ll Do
Build and deliver

custom demos using real customer data

(PDFs, Excel models, databases)
Own

technical pre-sales cycles

including POCs, discovery, and deal support
Work directly with customer data to configure integrations, workflows, and AI agents
Support post-sale adoption by partnering with engineering on integrations and implementations
Use AI tools (Cursor, Claude Code) to build lightweight internal tools and demo interfaces
Translate customer insights into

product and engineering feedback loops

Key Requirements
3–8 years in a technical, customer-facing role (SE, SA, TAM, implementation engineer, or similar)
Experience at a startup or AI-native company (e.g., Databricks, Retool, dbt, n8n, C3 AI)
Strong hands-on ability with

SQL, Python, APIs, and data workflows
Familiarity with AI/ML concepts (RAG, embeddings, LLMs, vector databases, agents)
Experience working with messy data (PDFs, Excel, unstructured sources)
Strong communication skills with a revenue-oriented mindset

Compensation & Benefits
Base Salary: $150K–$275K
Competitive equity package
