Role
We’re Looking For A: Production Supervisor
Location:
Richfield, WI
Shift:
Night (6pm - 6am)
What You’ll Be Doing
Utilize production scheduling tools to direct and maintain daily operations within assigned area(s)
Utilize scan gun to complete transactions within ERP system and complete all associated paperwork documenting the transaction
Maintain a thorough understanding of the department’s equipment and machinery; comfortable following LOTO procedures and processes; comfortable operating equipment and/or machinery to cover absences and/or breaks
Maintain strong understanding of ERP system including completing system transactions, identifying transaction issues, and understanding WIP levels
Execute routine operations of assigned area(s), ensuring direct reports are following policies and procedures related to employee and food safety and environmental compliance
Monitor production outcomes, quantity and quality to ensure customer and food safety requirements are within specifications
Oversee the quality standards within respective area(s); ensure quality standards are being followed and address deviations as necessary
Perform audits for quality and safety; share results with others and identify opportunities for improvement
Responsible for ensuring work instructions, processes and procedures are being followed; providing appropriate coaching and feedback as necessary
Develop, supervise and provide coaching to direct reports, including coaching on company values and guiding principles for the facility
Understand and manage the production budget for assigned area(s); collaborate with other Production Supervisors on the overall production budget
Must possess an understanding of Key Performance Indicators including yield performance, scrap/waste and other key standards
May be required to work alternative work schedules, including weekends, to ensure supervisory coverage of production areas
Preferred Qualifications
High school diploma or GED equivalent
2+ years of prior supervisory experience
Experience working with ERP system
Prior experience in a food or pet food production environment (preferred)
