Bonus eligible Profit Sharing Stellar reputation Job Details Now Hiring: Controller | Construction Industry We’re partnering with a growing organization seeking a hands-on Controller to lead accounting operations and drive strong financial performance across projects. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented leader who thrives in a project-based environment and enjoys partnering with operations to enhance visibility, controls, and profitability. What you’ll do: Oversee full-cycle accounting operations including AP, AR, payroll, and general ledger while delivering accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting to leadership Drive project financial success through job costing, budgeting, variance analysis, and close collaboration with project managers Prepare and manage WIP schedules to support accurate revenue recognition and forecasting Monitor cash flow and lead billing/collections processes including AIA billing, progress billing, and retainage Ensure GAAP compliance, maintain strong internal controls, and coordinate audits and tax filings with external partners Identify opportunities to streamline systems and processes, including evaluation and implementation of accounting technology ✅ What we’re looking for: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (CPA preferred) 5+ years of progressive accounting experience; construction exposure is a plus Knowledge of job costing and WIP reporting with proficiency in tools such as Sage 300/Timberline, Procore, Viewpoint, and advanced Excel Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills with the ability to translate financial data for operational teams Collaborative leader who can partner cross-functionally with project managers and executives If you’re looking to step into a high-impact leadership role where you can influence project profitability and operational decision-making, let’s connect.
