Responsibilities
Provide direct bedside care to cardiovascular unit patients, including post‑procedural and post‑op cardiology care
Monitor vital signs and telemetry; interpret ECGs; respond to arrhythmias and evolving patient conditions
Administer prescribed medications and manage symptoms per established protocols
Collaborate with physicians, charge nurses, and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
Assist with discharge planning and patient/family education to support continuity of care
Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic medical record and adhere to safety and infection control standards
Requirements
Active Michigan RN license; license verification via LARA and Nursys required
1+ year of stepdown/cardiovascular unit experience
Proficiency in cardiac care and telemetry; comfortable interpreting EKGs
Certifications: ACLS and BLS
Willingness to float to similar units as needed
Travel assignment experience preferred
Able to work the listed shift and travel as required
