Criminal Justice Instructor Job Summary
Seeking a highly motivated individual with a passion for teaching. Must have three years of experience in the security, corrections, or law enforcement fields with formal training in these areas or four years of experience in the field with no formal training required.
Criminal Justice Instructor Roles and Responsibilities
Teach Criminal Justice courses in alignment with the approved lesson plans, syllabus, and direction from the Program Chair
Prepare, administer, and grade written and practical examinations in a timely and consistent manner
Maintain accurate and up-to-date student records, including attendance, grades, and required documentation
Manage a high volume of administrative responsibilities and timely submission of academic records
Participate in faculty meetings, in-service trainings, graduation ceremonies, and other required college events
Communicate effectively with students, faculty, and leadership to support student success and program outcomes
Maintain professional appearance and adhere to faculty dress code standards
Perform additional job-related duties as assigned

Skills and Qualifications
REQUIRED
Undergraduate degree required (A.A.S, B.A, B.S.)
Strong administrative and organizational skills, with the ability to manage a high volume of documentation and deadlines
Ability to work effectively with diverse populations
Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
Knowledge of and ability to apply relevant current education methodologies and techniques
