Overview
Registered Nurse – OR, Lamar, Colorado, United States. Start date 05/18/2026 for a 13-week travel assignment with guaranteed 40 hours per week. Weekly pay ranges from $2,930 to $3,067. Shift: Day shift, 6:30 am-2:30 pm, Monday through Friday, with some call coverage on weekends and potential late days to complete surgical caseloads. The assignment supports a perioperative services unit with three OR suites, PACU, and Pre-op areas, and involves a range of surgical cases. Responsibilities
Provide direct patient care across Pre-op, OR/Circulator, and PACU within the perioperative services scope; serve as primary caregiver across all three areas as needed.
Assist with surgical case preparation, instrument processing, and intraoperative duties; support instrument counts and sterile technique.
Circulate and recover patients; monitor vital signs and anesthesia recovery; manage transfers and documentation.
Uphold infection control standards and follow departmental policies; apply guidelines from IAHCSMM, AORN, ASGE, and ASPAN.
Collaborate with anesthesia providers, nursing colleagues, and OR staff; educate patients and families as appropriate.
Manage workload in a high-demand setting, including long periods of standing and heavy lifting, while maintaining safety and patient-centered care.
Requirements
Active Colorado RN license
Education: RN graduate
Experience: 3 years Pre-op/OR/PACU experience preferred
Certifications: ACLS certification; CNOR preferred; scrub experience preferred
Ability to work across Pre-op, OR, and PACU in a fast-paced perioperative environment; ability to meet call requirements and occasional late days
