Responsibilities
Didactic teaching: Provide effective classroom instruction and use instructional technologies to meet course outcomes. Collaborate in curriculum development, implementation, and evaluation.
Clinical teaching: Plan, supervise, and deliver instruction in lab, simulation, and real‑world healthcare settings, ensuring students apply theory to practice.
Student mentorship: Mentor and advise students academically and professionally; supervise doctoral students in dissertation or clinical inquiry projects.
Scholarly activities: Participate in scholarship based on rank. At Assistant Professor rank or higher, demonstrate competence in clinical expertise and engage in inquiry and scholarship that contributes to the science of clinical practice. Advance a research program, prepare grants, and seek funding.
Service activities: Participate in committees, professional activities, and campus activities as assigned.
Administrative activities: As negotiated.
Other: Provide services as assigned by the supervisor to support university missions of teaching, research, patient care, outreach, and public service.
Required Qualifications
Education: Lecturer – BSN; Instructor – MSN or MN; Assistant Professor – MSN, PhD/DNP.
Licensure/Credentials: Oregon RN license; BLS certification.
Preferred Qualifications
3 years of full‑time clinical practice experience.
