Responsibilities
Assesses referred patients requiring rehabilitation services, providing direct patient care to evaluate medical condition, functional capabilities, limitations, and potential for rehabilitation.
Develops and administers a treatment program with specific goals based on patient capacity and tolerance.
Creates a plan of care for each occupational therapy patient.
Provides skilled occupational therapy services/interventions in accordance with physician orders.
Assesses patient needs, plans for, evaluates, and modifies care to meet goals of occupational therapy interventions.
Collaborates with all disciplines to plan and evaluate team goals for each patient.
Qualifications
Graduate from an accredited occupational therapy school.
Hold a Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy and have passed the NBCOT exam.
Minimum one year of professional working experience.
Current state license as an Occupational Therapist/OT or actively pursuing licensure.
Current CPR certification.
Additional requirements may be specified by the client facility.
