Job Description
The Pharmacy Technician Trainee performs duties that do not require the professional training and judgment of a pharmacist. The technician trainee will learn and demonstrate mastery in filling medication orders, delivering to patient care and ancillary areas, managing technology including PYXIS packer and PYXIS control cabinets, effectively operating the department while staffing as team leader, and preparing sterile and non-sterile products.
Education
High School Diploma or GED required. Trainee will obtain their Pharmacy Tech license with the State of Vermont Board of Pharmacy before the start of employment. They must achieve their National Certification within two years of their date of hire.
Experience
Pharmacy experience preferred or related work experience.
