Atlantic Health is Seeking a Physician Advisor in Summit, New Jersey
Atlantic Health, one of New Jersey's largest non-profit healthcare systems, is seeking a highly motivated and experienced full-time Physician Advisor to join our team at Atlantic Health Overlook Medical Center, located in Summit, New Jersey.
Responsibilities
As a Physician Advisor at Atlantic Health Overlook, you will provide clinical direction and leadership to the organization, increasing its ability to produce best practice patient outcomes grounded in quality, legal, ethical, regulatory, and reimbursement parameters. As a peer to physicians and a consultant to Case Management and administration, you will intervene when practice patterns or behaviors create disparity between pathway standards, intensity of service, severity of illness, patient and family rights, teamwork, or other issues regarding the stewardship or resources for individual patients and diagnostic populations.
Salary Range
$250,000–$280,000 base salary only; excludes any incentives

Qualifications
Board Certified MD/DO – any specialty encouraged to apply
Prior clinical experience in care and management of hospitalized patients.
Experience in acute care case management-related functions is preferred.
Medical necessity criteria, managed care business models, risk arrangements, peer review, performance profiling with data, outcome management strategies, practice guideline development and application, risk management principles.
Utilization-specific training from ABQAURP, AAPL, CPUR, IHI courses, or physician advisor training from ACPA or ACMA preferred.
Availability to work on weekends, and possibly occasional weekdays or holidays as needed.
Must be licensed or eligible for licensure in New Jersey.
