Overview

Atlantic Health is Seeking a Neurocritical Care Advanced Practice Professional (NP/PA) in Summit, New Jersey. Atlantic Health, one of New Jersey's largest non-profit healthcare networks, is seeking a Full-Time Neurocritical Care APP (NP or PA) for the Atlantic Neuroscience Institute at Overlook Medical Center in Summit, New Jersey. The schedule includes both days and nights with 12-hour shifts, along with weekend and holiday rotation. This role offers autonomy, a growing service line, and flexibility with self-scheduling.
The neuroscience flagship at Overlook houses a large neuroscience unit and a 12-bed Neuroscience Critical Care Unit that cares for patients recovering from stroke, brain surgery, seizures, nervous system infections, head trauma, and spinal surgery.
Responsibilities

The APP will join a collaborative team of Neurointensivists and Neurocritical Care APPs. Responsibilities include comprehensive assessments, interpretation of diagnostic results, bedside procedures, daily progress notes, and patient/family education and meetings.
Qualifications

Master's degree
Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner from an accredited program
Must be licensed or eligible for licensure in New Jersey
ACLS and BLS certification required
1 year of critical care experience preferred
Must have excellent communication and computer skills
Strong work ethic and a team player who can work independently
