Abbott Nutrition in Casa Grande, Arizona has an exciting opportunity for a CAPA Specialist to work with our RPB line.
Overview
The RPB CAPA Specialist will assist and facilitate all tasks associated with the documentation of relevant manufacturing processes and resolution of events during production. The role also supports safety and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) of the RPB department.
What You’ll Work On
Maintain the effectiveness of the quality system.
Understand key technical concepts of the relevant manufacturing process and its relation to production work orders.
Maintain competency in applicable quality manuals, HACCP plans, critical control points, and quality control points of the manufacturing areas supported.
Facilitate cross‑functional CAPA investigations for quality issues and process deviations within the Quality Record System.
Coordinate immediate corrective actions such as product sampling or rework with the quality and distribution organizations.
Complete required documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
Communicate effectively across all levels of the department and with cross‑functional organizations.
Report ineffective procedures, policy exceptions, discrepancies, and other potential gaps within the quality system and recommend appropriate corrective actions.
Consult with leadership to establish practices and procedures that comply with all applicable regulations.
Ensure compliance with FDA (GMP), USDA, OSHA, and Abbott Nutrition regulations, policies, procedures, and guidelines.
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required.
Prior experience in food manufacturing or a similar process with heavy emphasis on computer‑based systems and procedures.
Good project management skills to deliver effective service in a timely manner.
Attention to detail to ensure accuracy of work that forms part of the Quality System documentation.
Strong written and oral communication skills to generate effective, concise reports and communicate with staff at all levels.
Ability to work independently.
Perks & Compensation
Day shift opportunity – Monday – Friday; 8:00 am – 4:30 pm.
Base pay range: $50,700.00 – $101,300.00 (may vary by location).
