Medical Assistant (Bilingual Mandarin / English)

Position Summary
As a Medical Assistant, you would balance the needs of patients and maintain efficient workflow of the office as well as provide support to the physician in all facets of medical procedures - before, during and after. In addition, you would ensure that the patient has an excellent service experience.
Position Details
Location: Lower Manhattan clinics (Chelsea, Lenox Hill, 1st Ave, Harlem and Fulton St.)
Medical Assistant certification/registration required
Ability to work 7:00 am – 7:30 pm and weekends as needed
Fluency in English and Mandarin required
Compensation: $20–$24/hr
Responsibilities
Greet patients and escort them to examination rooms; assist with form completion as necessary
Familiarity with clinic computer hardware and software; use according to company policies
Schedule appointments and accommodate patient needs (e.g., transportation, rescheduling)
Perform clerical tasks as needed (copying, filing, faxing, etc.)
Ensure patient needs are met and questions answered
Maintain procedure rooms by keeping them neat and ready for use
Assist doctors during Endovenous Laser Therapy procedures per instructions
Prepare patients before procedures and clean up afterward
Provide post-procedure instructions and guidance on obtaining medications if needed
Monitor and replenish supply levels
Apply sterile techniques and OSHA regulations
Prepare IV solutions
Train new staff as needed
Assist ultrasound staff as needed
Transport supplies or equipment as needed
Perform additional duties as assigned
Requirements
Medical Assistant certification/registration required
Weekends preferred
High school diploma or GED
1+ year of relevant experience
Fluency in English and Mandarin required
