Overall purpose
To provide support to the Fee Earners and Team Leaders completing all talks to a high standard. Also delivering a professional, responsive, high‑quality service to our clients ensuring full compliance with policies and procedures laid out by the firm and by regulatory bodies. To act as an ambassador for the Firm at all times, actively promoting its services.

Key accountabilities

Assist with the management and progression of Wills, Probate and estate administration matters, appropriate to experience

Prepare draft Wills, Probate applications, estate administration documentation, Lasting Powers of Attorney and related correspondence for approval

Provide an element of chargeable legal services in line with agreed targets

Deal directly with clients and third parties, delivering clear, empathetic and professional communication

Maintain accurate and up ‑ to ‑ date case management systems to ensure effective file management

Liaise with beneficiaries, executors, financial institutions and other third parties as required

Ensure the Firm’s policies and procedures, and those laid out by regulatory bodies such as the Solicitors Regulation Authority, are fully complied with at all times

Contribute to effective risk management through regular file reviews, risk assessments and high standards of client care

Support fee earners and assist on more complex matters where required

Carry out any other reasonable duties as requested by fee earners, the Team Leader or management staff

What we’re looking for

Experience working within a Wills, Trusts & Probate environment as a Paralegal, Probate Executive or similar

Experience assisting with probate and estate administration matters

Experience of working towards targets (chargeable hours)

Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail

Ability to work well as part of a team in a fast‑paced legal environment

Proactive, with the ability to use initiative in day‑to‑day tasks

Competent use of IT and case management systems

Excellent client care skills, with the ability to demonstrate empathy and professionalism
