This in-office role offers substantive legal support, including drafting, research, case management, client contact and litigation assistance in a professional, growth-oriented environment where your contributions directly impact client outcomes and firm success.

Key Responsibilities
Paralegal & Attorney Support

Draft and revise complex legal documents under attorney supervision, including wills, trusts, probate petitions, conservatorship petitions, pleadings, motions, discovery responses, correspondence, and supporting filings for both transactional and contested matters

Conduct legal and factual research; prepare case summaries, timelines, memoranda, exhibit lists, and trial/mediation materials

Manage case progression across estate planning, probate, trust administration, conservatorships, and litigation: track deadlines, court hearings, discovery cutoffs, and milestones to ensure timely compliance

Prepare and coordinate filings with California probate courts, agencies, financial institutions, and third parties; handle e‑filings, service of process, and record maintenance

Support trust and conservatorship administration workflows: asset tracking, beneficiary communications, document preparation, and coordination among attorneys, staff, banks, and external parties

Assist in litigated matters, including discovery preparation, document review/analysis, witness coordination, and settlement support in probate, trust, and conservatorship disputes

Maintain accurate, organized records in PracticePanther and related systems; identify and help resolve workflow inefficiencies

Provide flexible cross‑team support during peak periods, upholding firm standards of professionalism, confidentiality, and excellence

Qualifications

3+ years of relevant paralegal experience required; experience in trusts, estates, probate, conservatorships, and/or related litigation strongly preferred

Proven ability to draft clear, professional legal documents and correspondence with minimal supervision

Demonstrated experience using PracticePanther or a comparable legal case management system

High level of proficiency with computers and office technology, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and PDF/document management tools

Ability to organize, analyze, and manage large volumes of documents and information with accuracy and attention to detail

Strong time‑management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage multiple matters simultaneously

Professional demeanor with strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills

Ability to exercise sound judgment, discretion, and confidentiality

Proactive, adaptable, and capable of functioning effectively as both an independent contributor and a collaborative team member

Compensation & Benefits
Compensation
$75,000 – $90,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications (subject to negotiation for candidates with strong probate, conservatorship, trust litigation, or administration background)
