Schedule:
A Shift, Monday-Thursday, 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM
Pay Range:
Hourly rate $22.00 - $26.00 based on experience
Collaboration:
Does not manage others; reports to the team lead; collaborates with machinists and quality staff
Position Summary / Duties:
Senior finishing operator responsible for performing high-level tasks within the department to ensure quality parts for customers
Responsibilities
Proficiently finish machined parts to ensure they meet quality and specification standards
Remove burrs, sharp edges, and surface imperfections from metal parts to ensure a smooth and polished finish
Prepare surfaces through cleaning, polishing or application of surface treatments as required
Perform assembly as required following prints and procedures
Visually inspect parts to ensure compliance with prints, drawings and quality standards
Complete regular cleaning and maintenance to keep the department, tools, machines and work area in optimal condition
Assist the team leader in department training, scheduling and new job setup
Regularly use hand tools, power tools, grinders, tumblers, equipment, microscopes and other magnification tools
Work with a variety of parts, tools and tolerances to meet high standards; adhere to quality procedures and company policies; maintain accurate records; keep the work area clean; perform other duties as directed
About You
You must have:
Experience finishing or deburring parts; high focus on quality with strong attention to detail; experience reading drawings and blueprints; familiar with quality standards and procedures
Superior dexterity and eye-hand coordination; ability to perform visual inspections; use hand tools and equipment; work under microscopes for long periods; sit or stand for long periods
Optional – experience with deburring metal parts; working with high tolerances; ability or experience to train others; understanding of 5S, ISO, AS9100 and/or ITAR procedures
Desire to contribute to a culture of excellence and continuous improvement
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Motivated, reliable, accountable, good team player, desire to learn
Must be authorized to work in the U.S. and able to pass pre-employment screening (drug screen, fit-for-duty exam, background check)
