Job Description
PRIMARY FUNCTION:
To apply protective coating to manufactured products using spray in a controlled environment. Responsible for surface preparation, mixing coatings, maintaining equipment, ensuring consistent quality finishes and adhering to strict OSHA safety and ventilation protocols.
REPORTS TO:
Production Manager
SUBORDINATES:
None
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Operate machinery safely and efficiently according to instructions
Monitoring production to ensure quality and consistency
Load and unload materials onto the production line
Follow safety procedures and workplace regulations
Maintain accurate production and quality control records
Work closely with team members and supervisors to meet production targets
QUALIFICATIONS:
High School Diploma or Equivalent
Good organizational skills, completes work in a timely manner
Mechanically inclined; ability to work with basic hand and power tools
Ability to read a tape measure accurately to 1/16 th of an inch
Ability to stand for long periods and able to lift up to 50 lbs.
Capable of working independently and as a member of a team
Basic mechanical and technical skills
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
Prior experience in
manufacturing or machine operation
(preferred but sometimes not required)
