At Ascentium Capital, the Credit Manager leads a team of analysts responsible for evaluating commercial loan applications for new loan transactions as well as for processing annual loan reviews on existing borrowers.

Primary Responsibilities
Leads the examination of credit risk and ensures proper risk management practices are in place and utilized effectively through ongoing monitoring activities including identifying risk rating accuracy and policy compliance
Serves as lead examiner on occasion for specific reviews/examinations which may include activities such as proper sample selection, review team composition/ logistics, data compilation and analysis, written report generation, and collaboration with unit management
Provides continual feedback regarding existing or emerging risks or issues
Actively identifies and mitigates risk in existing and proposed credit products transactions
Maintains market knowledge of loan pricing and structural trends to match client needs with company credit product solutions
Coaches associates around client selectivity, loan and lease structuring, underwriting, servicing and risk rating
Oversees the hiring, training, development, and coaching of associates
Works in conjunction with the appropriate managers and executives to support each business unit's performance goals and service standards
May maintain limited client portfolio management, including portfolio reporting
This position is exempt from timekeeping requirements under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not eligible for overtime pay.
This position is incentive eligible.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or related field
Five (5) years of experience in commercial/bank underwriting or related experience
Preferences
Experience with Fair Isaac credit models
Experience in formal bank underwriting training
Management/supervisory experience
Skills and Competencies
Ability to manage multiple priorities
Ability to learn additional systems as needed
Ability to research, analyze data, and derive facts
Ability to work in a team environment when applicable
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)
Strong attention to detail and proof‑reading skills
Strong skills in calculating financial ratios
Strong understanding of personal and business credit reports
Strong verbal, written communication, and organizational skills
Strong work ethic and self‑motivation
This position may be filled at a higher level depending on the candidate's qualifications and relevant experience.
Compensation Details
Pay ranges are job specific and are provided as a point‑of‑market reference for compensation decisions. Other factors which directly impact pay for individual associates include: experience, skills, knowledge, contribution, job location and, most importantly, performance in the job role. As these factors vary by individuals, pay will also vary among individual associates within the same job.
The target information listed below is based on the Metropolitan Statistical Area Market Range for where the position is located and level of the position.

$111,342.23 USD
50th Percentile:
$158,733.90 USD
Incentive Pay Plans
This role is eligible to participate in a discretionary incentive plan. Employees have the potential to receive a discretionary award based on performance against defined metrics and goals.
