Perfusion Assistant- Full Time- Day Shift (7a-4:30p)
Under minimal supervision provides care, maintenance, assembly and operation of electronic physiological pressure monitoring equipment in the operating room, intra‑aortic balloon pumping systems, autologous blood salvaging systems and other related systems. Provides laboratory test in the operating room for open‑heart patients. Provides maintenance and cleaning of equipment for perfusion services. Performs other related duties as required.
Qualifications
Associate's degree preferred.
Completion of Intra Aorta Balloon Pump (IABP) certification program and/or minimum of one‑year previous IABP experience.
Analytical ability required in order to set up, calibrate, operate, and maintain various equipment.
Manual dexterity required to work with finely detailed circuitry components and systems.
Visual, hearing, and verbal abilities required in order to operate equipment and assist during surgical procedures.
