POSITION SUMMARY
The General Maintenance Tech is responsible for maintaining all aspects of the physical plant, conducting preventive maintenance, routine servicing, seasonal repairs, building equipment, and plumbing repairs under supervisor direction.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Performs general maintenance duties, such as fixing wall covers, floor covers, and some furniture and fixtures; light plumbing work, minor electrical repair, and appliance repairs.
Performs refurbishing projects as directed by supervisor.
Performs routine preventive maintenance as directed by supervisor.
Performs minor building and equipment repairs.
Responds to and completes all work orders and requests in a timely fashion.
Responsible for making notes and keeping detailed information on all work orders completed as needed in Worx Hub.
All plant operations staff are considered essential before, during, and after all emergencies.
Responsible for minor HVAC repairs in apartments.
Job requires working some weekends as scheduled and holidays as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS
High school education. Technical school and/or background preferred. Ability to understand and follow instructions in English, communicate effectively, and perform simple arithmetic.
One‑year general maintenance experience necessary.
