Position Overview:

Green Water and Power is looking for a Warehouse Assistant to join our team. The Warehouse Assistant ensures smooth operational flow by handling inventory, preparing shipments, and maintaining warehouse organization. This individual will also manage the logistics between the warehouse and construction sites, safely transporting materials, tools, and equipment. This role requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and proficiency in, or ability to learn, inventory software and material handling equipment.

Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm
Duties and Responsibilities

Warehouse Operations

Assist with receiving, unpacking, and organizing incoming shipments of EV charging equipment, parts, and supplies.
Prepare outgoing shipments by picking, packing, and labeling items accurately and efficiently.
Maintain an organized and tidy warehouse space, including shelving, storage bins, and work areas.
Sign in/sign out existing tools in inventory, manage inventory and issue purchase orders, and track tools, making and managing tool kits for each employee.
Perform inventory counts and stock checks to ensure accuracy and proper stock levels, reporting any discrepancies to the Procurement Manager.
Assist in conducting periodic inventory audits and reconciliations as directed.
Collaborate with crews to fulfill orders and prepare them for shipment in a timely manner.
Send emails to dashboard contacts for shipment creation on platforms such as Xpo and FedEx.
Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks safely and efficiently.
Follow all safety procedures and guidelines while handling and storing materials.
Tour jobsites/warehouses for personal knowledge and benefit of the company.
Deliver recycling items or tools to be calibrated.
Manage office security, including opening and closing duties.
Monitor jobsite chats and research electric utility series ratings at site.
Maintain fleet vehicle (wash, auto/body repair, oil changes, etc.) and ensure proper vehicle reassignment and insurance compliance.
Support other departments as needed with tasks such as light assembly, packaging, or general maintenance.
Driving and Delivery Duties

Safely operate company vehicles to transport materials, tools, and equipment to job sites, suppliers, and client locations as directed.
Pick up and deliver shipments, returns, and supplies from vendors or project locations in a timely and professional manner.
Ensure all transported materials are properly secured and protected during transit to prevent damage or loss.
Perform daily vehicle inspections, checking fluid levels, tire condition, lights, and overall safety; promptly report any maintenance or repair needs.
Maintain accurate delivery logs, mileage reports, and receipts in accordance with company policies.
Adhere to all state and federal traffic laws, as well as company driving policies and safety standards.
Represent Green Water and Power professionally while driving and interacting with vendors, clients, and site personnel.
Assist in loading and unloading vehicles, ensuring materials are organized and handled carefully.
Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the assigned vehicle, ensuring it is stocked with necessary delivery materials.
Drive company vehicles to local stores or suppliers as needed to pick up supplies or materials required for warehouse or project operations.
Qualifications and Benefits

High school diploma or equivalent.
Valid Driver’s License.
Previous experience in a warehouse or similar environment preferred but not required; training will be provided.
Basic math skills and the ability to accurately count, measure, and record inventory.
Physical ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) and perform tasks requiring bending, stooping, and reaching.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Willingness to learn and adapt to new tasks and procedures.
Forklift certification (or willingness to obtain certification) is a plus.
Competitive salary based on experience (DOE), up to $24.00/hr.
