JOB SUMMARY
The Parts Runner is responsible for the timely and efficient transportation of parts and materials between various locations, suppliers, and departments. This role plays a crucial part in maintaining the workflow and productivity of the operation by ensuring that all parts and materials are accurately delivered to their needed destination.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Parts Delivery and Pickup: Transport parts and materials from suppliers to the workplace or between departments within the workplace. This may involve loading and unloading items, as well as verifying quantities and descriptions against purchase orders or invoices.
Vehicle Maintenance: Responsible for the basic maintenance and cleanliness of the delivery vehicle, including checking oil, tire pressure, and fuel levels before trips.
Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service when interacting with suppliers and internal customers. Address and resolve any issues or concerns related to parts delivery in a professional manner
QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or equivalent.
A valid driving license with a clean driving record. (Commercial driver’s license may be required for larger vehicles.)
Previous experience in a delivery role preferred.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to work in indoor and outdoor conditions.
Ability to lift and move items up to 50 pounds.
Ability to stand, squat and sit for extended periods of time, and perform physical duties that require extensive use of arms and legs.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Driving a vehicle; getting in and out of truck while carrying materials.
