What You Will Be Doing:
As an Equipment Operator in Nome, you will operate heavy machinery to support construction and road maintenance activities. You’ll perform routine inspections, handle basic maintenance, and work closely with your team to complete projects safely and efficiently. This role requires adaptability to changing conditions and the ability to work both independently and as part of a crew in a rural environment.

The Working Environment You Can Expect:
This position is located in Nome, AK. The schedule follows a unique two-weeks‑on, two-weeks‑off pattern. The role demands adaptability and resourcefulness as you maintain and improve roads, bridges, airports, ports, and public facilities in a state known for rugged terrain and extreme seasonal changes.

Commercial Driver’s License Requirement:
This position requires a Class A Alaska Commercial Driver’s License with Tanker & Air Brake endorsement at the time of hire. Applicants must possess a valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) per federal regulations and be registered with the federal CDL Drug & Alcohol Testing Clearinghouse.
