Working Environment
Hours: Monday – Friday 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Primary Function
Serve as support to the Assistant State’s Attorneys assigned to the Child Support Enforcement court rooms that are located throughout Cook County.

Physical Requirements
Medium Work: The position requires the ability to stand or walk frequently, often for extended periods. You may need to lift, carry, push, or pull objects weighing up to 20 pounds regularly, and occasionally heavier items. The job may also involve a significant amount of walking or standing relative to sedentary roles.

Duties and Responsibilities

Address all phone calls and walk-ins directed to the team

Act as the direct liaison for Child Support participants

Inform participants on the Child Support process and direct them to the appropriate agency for the requested action

Respond to written and verbal requests in a timely manner

Act as back up for other Custodial Parent Coordinators

Assist with outreach projects throughout Cook County

Prepare documents to be filed electronically

Assist with Team responsibilities

Answer incoming calls, transfer to appropriate personnel and forward problem calls to the supervisor

Interact regularly with State’s Attorney’s Office employees

Interact with outside agencies

Maintain confidentiality of information

Perform additional duties and responsibilities as needed or required

Qualifications
Required:

The candidate must have the ability to multi-task and possess excellent grammar, organizational and communication skills; written and verbal.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications; SharePoint, Outlook, Word, Excel.

The candidate must have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with highly sensitive information.

The candidate must be able to work independently and travel to the outlying districts when needed.

The candidate must be able to lift more than 10 lbs.

Preferred:

Working knowledge of CARES and Cook County Clerk’s system preferred.

Typing Speed of 50+wpm.
