Position: Administrative Services Associate – Child Support Enforcement (Level: Entry, Grade/Step 16)

Location: 180 North LaSalle, Administrative Services Bureau, Child Support Enforcement division.

Working Hours: Monday – Friday 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.

Primary Function
Support the Assistant State’s Attorneys assigned to the Child Support Enforcement court rooms across Cook County.

Physical Requirements
Medium Work: stand/walk frequently, lift, carry, push or pull objects up to 20 pounds, occasional heavier items.

Duties and Responsibilities

File cases electronically with the Clerk of the Circuit Court.

Prepare documents for electronic filing.

Act as liaison between SAO and Sheriff’s office.

Answer and forward calls/inquiries within the division.

Maintain docketing statistics.

Assist with Child Support Outreach initiatives in the community.

Assist with office email account when needed.

Act as backup for Administrative Assistants within the Division.

Work directly with the Case Processing unit in case initiation.

Assist in maintaining the Child Support SharePoint Site.

Assist with Child Support Service Division assignments/projects.

Scan and prepare digital documents for digital case folders.

Interact regularly with State’s Attorney’s Office employees.

Maintain confidentiality of information.

Perform other duties as assigned or required.

Qualifications
Required

Ability to multi‑task with excellent grammar, organization, and communication skills (written and verbal).

Proficiency with Microsoft Office (SharePoint, Outlook, Word, Excel).

Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment handling highly sensitive information.

Ability to work independently and travel to outlying districts as needed.

Ability to lift more than 10 lbs.

Preferred

Working knowledge of CARES and Cook County Clerk’s system.

Typing speed 50+ wpm.
