Job Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Cook to join our team at Parkhouse Nursing and Rehab Center. As a Cook, you will play a vital role in preparing and serving nutritious, home-style meals to our wonderful residents. Shifts Available:
5:00 AM - 1:00 PM
10:00 AM - 6:00 PM
Full-time and Part-time positions available, including alternating weekends and holidays.
Cook Key Duties:
Prepare food as assigned according to standardized recipes to provide residents with consistently accurate, tasteful, and cost-effective meals.
Serve meals or prepare for delivery by using correct portioning, meeting outline standards, ensuring that the food is at the correct temperature, and is attractive and tasty.
Taste all prepared food items for quality control.
Clean the kitchen after preparation and serving, maintaining standards of cleanliness, and store or discard excess food in accordance with safe food-handling procedures.
Perform other job-related duties as they become required.
Cook Qualifications:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
ServSafe Certification preferred or will become ServSafe certified after hired.
Ability to lift/carry a maximum of fifty pounds, push/pull a maximum of fifty pounds, stand, bend, and walk for extended periods of time.
Experience in a healthcare setting is preferred.
