Job Summary
The IS Senior Educator is responsible for the operational oversight, coordination, and continuous improvement of the Epic training environment and classroom experience across the organization. This role requires a strong understanding of the Epic training ecosystem, including Epic Hosting refresh cycles, upgrade processes, and nightly environment refreshes to ensure training systems remain aligned, functional, and optimized for end‑user readiness. In partnership with IS leadership and Epic Hosting, this role coordinates system downtimes, maintenance schedules, and associated training impacts, and aligns upgrade‑related training timelines. The IS Senior Educator is also responsible for triaging and coordinating requests related to MST build and MST access to support training and operational needs. Reporting directly to the System Director of Technology Education, this role operates with a high degree of autonomy and requires exceptional attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to independently manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities
Training Environment & System Coordination
Maintain operational oversight of the Epic training environment, ensuring alignment with Epic Hosting refresh cycles, upgrades, and nightly refresh processes
Partner with IS leadership and Epic Hosting to coordinate system downtimes, maintenance schedules, and training impacts
Coordinate and align upgrade training timelines
Triage and coordinate requests for MST build and MST access
Classroom Operations & Logistics
Lead day‑to‑day classroom operations, including scheduling, logistics, and support of credentialed trainers, proctors, and learners
Manage classroom schedules and reservations via Outlook
Coordinate room logistics, relocations, and external reservation requests
Oversee classroom environment, conduct, and technology to ensure a professional and supportive learning experience
Manage classroom logistics including materials, printing, and meal coordination
Maintain wayfinding boards and technical displays
Training Coordination, Oversight & Credentialing
Coordinate Epic vendor training requirements for IS staff
Obtain Director‑level and above approval for training required to maintain certifications
Provide oversight to Principal Trainers, including alignment and development
Oversee credentialing processes and manage recertification timelines to ensure compliance and consistency
Training Materials & Resource Management
Support updates to lesson plans and exercises
Ensure virtual technology education PLY resources are accurate, organized, and maintained
Epic Functionality Support
Maintain responsibility for Epic Whats New functionality, including testing and troubleshooting when issues arise
Coordination & Escalation
Serve as a central point of coordination and escalation for training and classroom‑related issues
Initiate follow‑up and engage cross‑functional teams as needed
Ensure timely resolution through clear and consistent communication

Education: Bachelor's degree preferred; may accept 7 years of relevant experience in lieu of degree
