As our Epic Clinical Educator,
you’ll provide
training support to all Avance Care locations
and departments
through training, development of curriculum
in partnership with departmental and specialty team subject matter experts. You’ll also
assist with coordinating training communication
to ensure that new and existing
team members are set up for success
and be responsible for collecting feedback from stakeholders to modify ambulatory training needs as identified.
Selected Responsibilities:
Partner with the Director of Clinical Education and Training to develop and implement training programs and content that meet organizational needs.
Support the gap identification and development of future clinical training needs and creation of the ambulatory curriculum to facilitate training in partnership with subject matter experts within the respective specialty teams or departments for both new hire orientation and continuous learning.
Communicate with management, trainers, and team members to ensure that needs are met
Ensure training is provided (both individually and within locations) of appropriate business tools, systems, business dashboards, etc. in accordance with organizational goals.
Process new information and update MST, Lesson Plans, Tip Sheets, and Manuals as needed
Coordinate with Providers and Staff to assist in answering Epic-related charting and functionality questions, as well as workflow-related inquiries
Process and resolve IT tickets related to Clinical Training
Assist in preparing for new hire classrooms: send invites, provide training environment logins, and distribute practice patient documents
Train the new hire Medical Assistant class and assist Provider Specialty Trainers with new content and guidance
Maintain content in the SharePoint Epic Training Library and Learning Home Dashboards
Update after-class assessments and ensure they align with current Lesson Plans, Tip Sheets, and Manuals
Work closely with Ambulatory Analysts to optimize Epic for efficiency and troubleshooting issues
Provide monthly update training and Epic Upgrade training to Office Managers, Clinic Staff & other stakeholders
Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
An associate’s degree in nursing is required, but a bachelor’s degree in nursing is highly preferred
Must have a North Carolina LPN, or RN license in good standing
Certified Nurse Educator certification, preferred
3+ years of experience and expertise in providing training in a variety of settings using different technology and approaches for multiple positions and roles
Previous development of training programs and professional development programs, preferred
3-5+ years of working within Epic software
Other Priorities:
Capability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, employees, clients, customers, and the public
Familiarity with modern and traditional training methods
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
Must be able to think logically to troubleshoot, analyze situations, and make appropriate decisions
Knowledge and understanding of how for-profit medical practices run and clinical Epic workflows helpful
