Position Summary:
Performs diagnostic testing on patient samples to aid physicians in the diagnosis and/or monitoring of various disease states. Maintains laboratory records. Follows laboratory policies and procedures, and maintains quality control practices in the laboratory. Performs routine laboratory tests in various sections of the laboratory. Reports to the Director of Laboratory Services.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education:
Associate's Degree in Science required.
License / Certifications:
MLT certification through ASCP or AMT preferred.
Laboratory experience preferred.
Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
Language Skills: Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
