At Mercedes-Benz Research & Development North America (MBRDNA), we are committed to delivering world-class automotive technologies that push the boundaries of what is possible. Our teams of highly skilled engineers and designers use cutting‑edge software and technology to enhance the driving experience and reduce environmental impact.
The US Vehicle Integration team at Mercedes-Benz is pivotal in establishing the brand's technological leadership in the US luxury market. Together with supporting Mercedes-Benz North America vehicle workshops and operations, their efforts ensure a seamless customer experience that uphold Mercedes-Benz's high standards.
MBRDNA is seeking an Over-the-Air (OTA) Development Engineer to ensure the highest quality standards for Mercedes-Benz vehicles during the development cycle, with a key focus on electric vehicles, infotainment and telematics systems.
With the growing importance of software in vehicles, the course for the future has been set at Mercedes-Benz. Based on the Mercedes-Benz Operation System (MBOS), an integral part is the possibility to roll out new software functions and further developments to customer vehicles over-the-air and update them.
For individual software release bundles (Telematics, Body, ADAS), the engineer will be responsible for understanding and discussing specifications of OTA campaigns with our Mercedes-Benz AG headquarters. They will need to prepare vehicles in alignment with internal release configurations which includes creating risk mitigation strategies, preparing test cases and test sets, performing the OTA update campaign followed by E2E testing, documenting the results and contributing to a market specific release recommendation based on the test results.
The engineer will perform testing using prototype vehicles and will focus on Mercedes-Benz passenger cars. Most testing locations will be in the local Atlanta area, but occasional domestic and international travel is required.
The engineer should be consistently engaged in customer feedback, market changes and business priorities as per ISO-9001 standards.
In 2026, MBRDNA is establishing a Technical Center in Atlanta, GA. The engineer will be positioned in Atlanta beginning in July 2026 and will work from Long Beach, CA from the date of hire until the date of relocation.
