We are currently seeking a Plate Mounter to join our team. The Plate Mounter completes all operations from the supplied negative to the press‑ready plates. Other responsibilities include working with all plate equipment to produce plates as required, trimming, mounting and proofing plates for Multi‑Color jobs, working with minimal supervision, collaborating closely with the press department on any plate issues.

Responsibilities:
Inspects press‑ready plates.
Cleans plates and cylinders for eventual reuse.
Checks concentricity, bearings, and maintains the surface of printing cylinders in good condition.
Performs make‑ready on plates when necessary to attain the required quality level.
Proofs close register work on the mounter/proofer.
Maintains a cooperative attitude with coworkers and supervisors.
Functions in various pressroom support duties.
Maintains inventory of all plate mounting tapes used.
Maintains a log that documents all plate remounts.
Retains bad plates and forwards them to the supervisor for evaluation.
Qualifications:
Must be able to train on 1st shift.
High school education or equivalent.
Reading, writing, and basic arithmetic skills required.
Good problem‑solving and communication skills.
Ability to use a micrometer and other simple measuring tools.
Ability to lift 40 lbs. occasionally.
Ability to work in a combined office and manufacturing environment. Safety equipment required.
Ability to prioritize, multitask, and work in a fast‑paced environment.
Positive attitude, team player, and ability to work overtime as required.
