UH Parma Medical Center- ICU is an 18-bed Medical Intensive Care Unit that cares for high‑acuity, critically ill patients requiring continuous monitoring and advanced life‑sustaining therapies, including ventilators, dialysis, and complex medication management.

To maintain the nursing staff in all areas as well as to deliver safe, efficient, age‑specific nursing care to patients and families.
What You Will Do
Routinely provide patient care.
Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team.
Maintain employee records.
Identify needs for and provide staff education and development.
Participate in discharge planning, community resource referrals, and education.
Participate in committee involvement and quality improvement initiatives.
Oversee daily operations of the unit/area in a cost‑effective manner.
Involved in community outreach activities, initiate and maintain positive relationships with patients/customers and co‑workers.
Takes responsibility for self‑development and supports a learning environment.
Displays commitment to the mission and values of the organization.
Additional Responsibilities
Perform other duties as assigned.
Comply with all policies and standards.
Refer to documentation provided by the department during orientation for specific duties and responsibilities.
Abide by all requirements to safely and securely maintain Protected Health Information (PHI) for our patients. Annual training, the UH Code of Conduct, and UH policies and procedures address appropriate use of PHI in the workplace.
