About the Role
St Edmund’s College offers a modern, country setting in rural Hertfordshire, providing a safe and stimulating environment for young minds.

We are seeking a full‑time, ambitious, and enthusiastic teacher of Design and Technology. The subject is taught to all pupils in Key Stage 3 and provided as an option at GCSE.

Responsibilities

Plan and deliver Design and Technology lessons to Key Stage 3 pupils.

Teach Design and Technology at GCSE level as an option.

Use the college’s purpose‑built workshop and supplementary classroom.

Collaborate with the department to organise projects that involve local industry partners.

Contribute to the college’s co‑curriculum activities.

Qualifications

Experience teaching resistant materials is required.

Experience teaching textiles and graphics is also welcome.

Good communication skills with pupils of all ages.

Enhanced DBS check (including children’s barred list) will be required prior to appointment.

Commitment to safeguarding and child welfare, and willingness to undergo relevant safeguarding checks.
