Job Summary
Neuro ICU is an 18-bed Critical Care Unit with bedside monitors for hemodynamic monitoring. Neuro ICU serves as a dedicated stroke nursing unit. The unit provides comprehensive care to neuro patients requiring intense monitoring and nursing care. The unit cares for patients with:

Ischemic stroke including those patients undergoing thrombectomy

Hemorrhagic stroke including intracranial hemorrhage and subarachnoid hemorrhage and patients s/p coil embolization

Cerebral edema and increased intracranial pressure

Abnormal electrical activity of the brain for patients with intractable seizure

Patients with other neurological disorders such as Guillain‑Barre' Syndrome, Myasthenia Gravis, and ALS

Patients with hemodynamic instability and/or airway and respiratory compromise

Minimum Job Qualifications

Licensure or other certifications:

Licensed to practice as an RN in Georgia.

Educational Requirements:

Associate's Degree, ADN or Diploma required

Minimum Experience:

At least 1 year of RN experience—Demonstrated competence in RN I performance expectations or meets experience requirements upon hire
