Hourly Pay Range: $36.00 - $55.80. The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate’s expertise and years of experience, among other factors. Position Highlights:
Position: Registered Nurse
Location: LOH Main – Naperville
Employment Type: Part Time (20 hrs/week)

What you will do:

Regularly performs duties of a professional nurse, including assessing patients’ condition, developing and administering patient plans of care, documenting care administered, and evaluating patient care outcomes. Welcomes patients to the unit and provides appropriate supervision and feedback to direct‑care staff.
Ensures rounds are assigned and precaution records are completed in real time.
Collaborates with the Resource and Referral Department to facilitate patient admissions and transfers, and provides thorough hand‑off communication upon admission, transfer, or discharge.
Interacts with patients, families, and other health‑care providers to collect and analyze data regarding the patient’s physical, psychosocial, environmental, self‑care, educational, and anticipated discharge‑planning needs, and participates in interdisciplinary planning.
Assists in the development and attainment of nursing department goals and objectives; participates in activities to improve department functioning and enhance professional competence.
Assists in the selection and orientation of qualified personnel to provide optimum patient care; evaluates feedback objectively and modifies behavior as needed; participates in program evaluation.
Attends in‑service programs and trainings; serves as a role model and central resource person for students; explains organization policies and procedures to staff and patients; uses community‑group opportunities to enhance understanding of mental‑health problems.
Supervises direct patient care as required; works within budgetary constraints, including staffing, overtime, and supply and equipment usage.
What you will need:

Maintain information as highly confidential.
One-year psychiatric experience.
Basic knowledge of abnormal psychology as typically found in the psychiatric population.
Familiarity with management of a therapeutic level system and understanding of reward and consequence system.
License/Certification: Current Illinois Registered Nurse license.
Current CPR Certification issued by American Heart Association.
CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) certification within 90 days of hire.
