
Robotics Technician

Basic Job Functions:
The Robotics Technician is responsible for supporting the Melt Shop by executing the division’s safety, quality, cost, productivity, and profitability objectives. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Preventive and predictive maintenance strategy development for robotic assets.
Troubleshooting and repairing mechanical, electrical, and control systems of robotics.
Collaborating with other departments to ensure efficient operation of the Melt Shop.
Maintaining accurate records of maintenance activities as it pertains to robotics.
Participate in the development of training materials and standard work procedures.
Participating in continuous improvement initiatives.
Mechanical, electrical, servo, and controls troubleshooting and repair.
Robot automation editing, optimization, and system backups.
Integration support with PLCs, HMIs, drives, and plant controls.
Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to initiate, lead, and uphold all safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
Compensation
Pay Range: $125,000 to $150,000
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Technical degree or certification in a related field (e.g., industrial maintenance, robotics, electrical, mechanical).
3 years’ experience in maintenance of robotics.
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior experience in a manufacturing environment.
Additional certifications or training in robotics, PLCs, or automation.
Experience in steel or heavy manufacturing.
