Responsibilities
Deliver respiratory care to adult patients across acute care and LTAC settings, adhering to physician orders and clinical guidelines
Manage ventilator therapies, including BiPAP/CPAP, high‑flow nasal cannula, weaning, and high‑pressure alarm troubleshooting
Perform ABG sampling, airway management support (intubation assist, extubation, suctioning), and airway clearance techniques
Conduct pulmonary hygiene procedures (nebulizers, bag-mask ventilation, sputum collection, pulmonary hygiene) and assist with airway placement as needed
Assess patient status, document findings, and participate in interdisciplinary rounds with RTs, PT, phlebotomy, radiology, pharmacy, and other team members
Document care in Epic accurately and consistently; maintain patient safety and quality of care throughout the shift
Requirements
NY state license in hand to submit
Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification
BLS certification
Epic charting experience requiredMinimum 1 year of clinical respiratory care experience
Ability to work in Adult Critical Care and Emergency Department settings; comfortable floating between acute care and LTAC units
Location restrictions
