Job Description

Pennington Biomedical Research Center seeks a Clinical Research Associate 1 to work in the Pediatric Obesity and Health Behavior Laboratory. The associate will conduct clinical trial study visits, including preparation, data collection, and entry, ensuring high data quality and consistency. Responsibilities include obtaining informed consent, measuring anthropometrics, assessing diet and activity, administering questionnaires, scheduling visits, sending reminders, and entering data into REDCap.

Job Responsibilities

Conduct clinical trial study visits, including preparation, data collection, and entry.

Obtain informed consent, measure anthropometrics, assess diet and physical activity, administer questionnaires as per study protocols.

Coordinate interventions and data collection at clinical sites, ensuring consistency and quality.

Communicate effectively with participants for scheduling, reminders, screenings, interventions, and follow‑ups.

Enter clinical trial data into the REDCap database accurately and promptly.

Perform off‑campus visits as required, maintaining high standards of data collection and participant care.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in public health, life sciences, nursing, kinesiology, or a related field.

Experience with assessments in human subjects.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Exceptional organizational and time‑management skills.

Ability to work well in a team and build rapport with participants.

Willingness to travel for off‑campus visits.

Strong problem‑solving abilities to troubleshoot during study visits and data collection.
