The Palms at Venice in Venice, Florida is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to support our rehabilitation team. This position plays a key role in delivering high-quality, resident-centered occupational therapy services under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist.
Position Responsibilities
Provide skilled occupational therapy treatments as directed by the supervising OT
Assist residents with improving ADLs, strength, coordination, and functional mobility
Accurately document treatment sessions and resident progress
Observe and report resident responses, progress, and any changes in condition
Collaborate with therapy, nursing, and interdisciplinary team members
Follow established care plans and comply with all regulatory guidelines
Qualifications
Current Florida COTA license (required)
Experience in a Skilled Nursing or Post-Acute Care setting preferred
Strong communication, organization, and time-management skills
Ability to work independently while following OT supervision guidelines
Commitment to quality resident care and rehabilitation outcomes
