Job Description
Seeking a Full‑Time Employment Specialist to join Seacoast Mental Health Center, Inc. The role involves providing direct, indirect, and Evidence Based Supported Employment services to adults with severe and persistent mental illness and their families. The majority of the service is delivered in the community.
Responsibilities
Engage in job development activities, including community outreach and education to existing and prospective employers
Conduct accurate vocational assessments and develop coherent employment plans
Document contacts with clients, and maintain treatment plans and chart reviews promptly
Plan, monitor, and preserve client dignity while building a natural support system of family, coworkers, friends, neighbors, and organizations
Travel to client sites outside the office as needed
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work, or a related field
Demonstrated understanding of human behavior, mental illness, psychiatric rehabilitation, treatment, recovery, family systems, and related health care systems
Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record
CPR and First Aid training is recommended
