Position Summary
Performs in one or more of a variety of school clerical or district office support environments. Activities may include but are not limited to front office operations, reception activities, student attendance reporting, counseling services support, special education and/or district office or department support, and English language development support.

Compensation
Initial wage placement according to NCSD/OSEA Collective Bargaining Agreement.

Retirement Plan Contributions
North Clackamas School District participates in the Oregon Public Employee Retirement System (PERS and OPSRP). The district contributes the employer portion; employees contribute 6% after eligibility (six full calendar months or, for part‑time workers, 600 hours).

Schedule
7:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.; subject to change depending on department needs.

Work Calendar: 212B school days.

Minimum Qualifications

High school graduation or equivalent.

Basic clerical skills: typing and filing, proficiency with office equipment and technology, and keyboarding speed of at least 40 words per minute.

First Aid, CPR and defibrillator training may be required.

Strong general secretarial procedures, excellent grammar and proofing skills, organization, and accurate recordkeeping.

Ability to work effectively in an environment with frequent interruptions, maintaining focus and producing accurate work.

Ability to interact with students, parents, staff and community members personally, by phone, and electronically, in a warm and confident manner.

Initiative and ability to work with minimal direction; sound judgment and decision‑making skills.

Ability to maintain confidentiality of all school and personnel matters.

Desired Qualifications

Bilingual (Spanish) and bicultural skills.

Major Duties and Responsibilities

Secretarial support: wide range of general office administrator and clerical tasks, including file and record management, electronic database maintenance, mail distribution, answering phones, and assisting students, teachers and parents. Bookkeeping functions such as collection of local school funds, student fund administration, maintenance of revolving fund records, bank deposits, trial balances, financial statements, building and department inventory records, requisitions, and purchase orders. Operations of office equipment and coordination with building fiscal clerk/bookkeeper.

Student Attendance/Transportation: student registration and attendance data entry, reporting attendance, communication with parents, coordination of school bus transportation, truancy referrals.

Student Registration: registering new students, completing paperwork, data entry, audit and maintenance of verification forms, ensuring residency requirements, scheduling enrollment appointments.

Educational Staff Support: assistance to school counselors, psychologist, nurse and other staff with program organization, secretarial services, student supervision, safety protocols, testing coordination and field‑trip coordination.

Publication & Events Support: scheduling, publishing newsletters, supporting graduation processes, ceremony materials, testing information, orientation, graphic design of digital media and print materials, web‑master duties.

Student Records: handling permanent records, transfer credit processing, confidential data maintenance, security of computer data system, reporting of attendance, grades, transcripts, special education programs, schedules, counts, custom reports and progress reports.

Scheduling and Enrollment Support: assist with master class schedule design, distribute registration packets, process enrollment information, resolve conflicts, translate transcripts.

Secondary ASB Support: bookkeeping for clubs, purchase orders, budgeting, procurement, athletic eligibility records, miscellaneous duties related to athletic events.

Health Room Management: maintain health room, provide first aid, manage medication records, handle student absentee communication, update nurse.

Production: coordinating copy jobs for copier efficiency.

Performs other duties as assigned.
