Job Overview
RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a highly dedicated Clinical Care Technician for our Medical Surgical Unit III/7 Tower in the New Brunswick Facility. This unit specializes in the care of stroke, epilepsy, and spine surgery patients.
Qualifications
Required:
High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
Basic Life Support (CPR) through American Heart Association.
Preferred:
Previous nursing assistant experience or clinical experience from an accredited nursing program.
Certified nursing assistant.
Scheduling Requirements
Evening shift 3 p – 11:30 p, 24 hours total (3 shifts per week), includes every other weekend and some holidays.
All positions require every other weekend and every other holiday.
Essential Functions
The CCT is a direct patient caregiver who assists patients with activities of daily living and provides nursing care including vital signs, EKGs, phlebotomy, bedside care activities such as bathing, mouth care, and skin care.
Providing patient care appropriate to the age of patients in assigned service based on physical, education, safety, and related criteria.
Providing for effective and safe patient outcomes through practice, judgment, and critical actions.
Ongoing communication with patients and nursing colleagues regarding status of patient's care.
Participating in collaboration of patient’s plan of care from admission to discharge to ensure safe transitioning.
