Job Overview
RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a highly dedicated Clinical Care Technician for our Endoscopy Room in the New Brunswick facility. The CCT is a direct patient caregiver who assists patients with activities of daily living and provides nursing care, including vital signs, EKGs, phlebotomy, and bedside care (such as bathing, mouth care, and skin care).
Qualifications
Required:
High School Diploma or GED equivalent
Basic Life Support (CPR) through American Heart Association
Preferred:
Previous nursing assistant experience or clinical experience from an accredited nursing program
Certified nursing assistant
Scheduling Requirements
Day shift, 40 hours per week (5 shifts), 7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m., includes every other weekend and some holidays.
Essential Functions
Assists patients with activities of daily living and provides nursing care such as vital signs, EKGs, phlebotomy, bathing, mouth care, and skin care.
Provides patient care based on physical, educational, safety, and related criteria appropriate to the age of the patients in assigned service.
Delivers effective and safe patient outcomes through practice, judgment, and critical actions.
Maintains ongoing communication with patients and nursing colleagues regarding status of patient care.
Participates in the collaboration of the patient’s plan of care from admission to discharge to ensure safe transitions.
Other Duties
