Screen Assembler
Location: Eagle Rock, VA, US, 24085

Work Arrangement: Onsite

Main Position Objectives

Fabricates a wide variety of screen assemblies for new equipment, spare parts, and inventory screens.

Measures accurately and calculates fractions/decimal conversions.

Spot welds and rolls sheet metal.

Coordinates work with the welding department for non‑spot‑welded components.

Paints/marks screens as required.

Uses hand sand blasting equipment when needed.

Manages screen material and assembly inventories.

Communicates with fabrication/welding and mechanical design departments to ensure screens meet specifications.

Prints job orders, drawings, and paperwork using a computer.

Maintains high attention to detail and focus while assembling screens.

Work Environment

Work occurs both in an office and on a factory floor or at customer sites.

Employees may be exposed to fumes, airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, vibration, and loud noise; personal protective equipment may be required.

Physical Requirements

Regular standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing.

Ability to lift items up to 50 pounds.

Requires clear vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment.

Job Specification
Education

Mandatory: High School diploma or equivalent; additional technical skills a plus.

Technical training in reading blueprints.

Professional Experience

Mandatory: Minimum 1 year of experience reading blueprints; computer skills including database search, printing, and emailing.

Desirable: Experience in TIG & MIG welding; spot welding.

Interpersonal Skills and Behavioral Competencies

Willingness to learn.

Highly organized and efficient in task approach.

Independent self‑starter with problem‑solving and issue‑anticipation ability.

Strong team player with a solid work ethic and commitment to win.

Adheres to company rules, safety, and quality standards.

Schedule: Monday to Friday; possible weekends or holidays as needed.
