TEMPORARY/Full Time – Patient Care Monitor/Greeter
BAART Program is looking for a respectful, alert and vigilant greeter/patient care monitor to maintain overall safety and order of the clinic facility. The greeter/patient care monitor may also provide backup coverage to the receptionist.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Ensuring the protection of all employees and patients
Ensuring that each patient entering the building has an ID
Creating an orderly waiting line; having patients stand in single file while they wait to receive medication
Performing crowd control by making sure that after dosing, patients leave the clinic timely unless they have an appointment to see a staff person
Eliminating loitering and congregating in the parking lot and premises
Reporting critical incidents that occur in the parking lot or on premises
Contacting local authorities and cooperating with authorities in an emergency situation as needed
Responding to calls for assistance to prevent interference or disruption of operations (maintaining order and control)
Reporting and documenting incidents whenever trouble or problems occur to the Operations Director and/or Clinic Director
Maintaining a safe and secure environment throughout the building, protecting the property from damage and destruction
Performing a security check of the facility at regular intervals throughout the day
Attending staff meetings and in‑service training as directed by the supervisor
Maintaining professional attire at all times, including name badge and paraphernalia that identifies you as a Security Guard
Being friendly, courteous and helpful to all disciplines, reception, clinical and medical staff
Providing receptionist coverage as needed
Performing other related duties as determined by the supervisor
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent with at least one year of prior experience in an office/clinic setting
Training from a law enforcement school or other security training is strongly preferred
Ability to establish a positive rapport with patients and to demonstrate a non‑judgmental and accepting attitude toward the chemically dependent person
Satisfactory drug screen and background check
