We are currently looking for an ambitious Occupational Therapist to join our team. As our Therapist, you will be a skilled member of the health‑care team and provide therapeutic services to patients using initial assessments, therapeutic procedures, and interventions in accordance with the established policies and procedures of the hospital and applicable law. Responsibilities
You will treat disabilities, injuries, and disease using therapeutic techniques according to prescriptions from a physician, perform testing and evaluation procedures on patients.
You will record and document patient observation, treatment, and changes in condition; monitor, analyze, and review clinical data; reevaluate and modify treatment plans and goals based on patient performance.
You will communicate clearly and provide explanation of care in a way that can be easily understood by patients and their families and ensure family is informed of patient status.
Evaluating each patient’s functional abilities and needs, then developing individualized therapy plans in coordination with physicians and the care team.
Delivering skilled, evidence‑based interventions that promote healing, independence, and quality of life through purposeful, compassionate care.
Monitoring patient progress, adjusting plans as needed, ensuring thorough, timely documentation that reflects quality outcomes.
Educating patients and families to build understanding, confidence, and engagement throughout recovery and beyond.
Collaborating with interdisciplinary partners to ensure seamless transitions of care, safe environments, and exceptional patient experiences.
Leading by example—providing guidance to therapy assistants or students and upholding HCA Healthcare’s mission, values, and commitment to excellence.
No travel required.
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Therapy; Master’s preferred.
Experience in an appropriate healthcare setting preferred.
Current Florida Occupational Therapist license.
Current BLS (Basic Life Support) through AHA (American Heart Association).
Current FIM (Functional Independence Measure) required (within 90 days of hire).
Critical thinking, service excellence, and good interpersonal communication skills; ability to read/comprehend written instructions; ability to follow verbal instructions; PC skills.
Qualifications
Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
(OT) Occupational Therapist.
Bachelors Degree.
