Position Summary
The Director of Admissions is responsible for the administration and management of all aspects of the Office of Admissions, ensuring excellence and enthusiasm in supporting the mission of the institution. This position serves as an institutional expert on state and federal rules and regulations, accreditation and domiciliary requirements necessary for evaluation of all applicants to the Doctor of Medicine Program. In consultation with the Associate and Assistant Deans for Admissions, this individual oversees the screening, evaluation, selection and recruitment process for the annual enrollment of medical students from a large and diverse applicant pool.
Primary Responsibilities
Administer and manage all aspects of the Office of Admissions.
Serve as an institutional expert on applicable rules, regulations, accreditation, and requirements for evaluation of medical program applicants.
Oversee screening, evaluation, selection and recruitment processes for annual medical student enrollment from a diverse applicant pool.
Minimum Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be from appropriately accredited institutions.
Other Qualifications and Requirements
Campus Security Authority Responsibilities: This position is designated as a Campus Security Authority and must report Clery crimes and complete annual training on reporting responsibilities.
Position/Schedule Requirements: Evening work occasionally, overtime occasionally, weekend work occasionally.
